Before Your First Appointment

  • · Before your first visit with the doctor, please gather all relevant medical information and test results related to your symptoms. It is also helpful to find out if there is a history of autoimmune diseases in your family. Bring a list of all medications you are currently taking.
  • If you have already been diagnosed with a rheumatic disease, please note down all treatments you have received so far (e.g., corticosteroids, methotrexate, biologic agents), including the dosage, duration, and reason for discontinuation, if applicable.
  • We dedicate at least one full hour to every new patient during the initial consultation.
  • During this first visit, we take a comprehensive medical history, covering both current symptoms and past medical conditions.
  • A thorough clinical examination follows, with a focus on evaluating all joints
  • If necessary, we will perform a musculoskeletal ultrasound, especially of painful or swollen joints.
  • At the end of the appointment, you will receive recommendations for any further diagnostic tests that may be needed (e.g., blood tests, X-rays, MRI), as well as an initial treatment plan.
